MALCOLM X

Malcolm X’s story was just so spectacular. Ever paragraph I seemed to read left me wanting to read more and was just so shocking. I found it so interesting how he learned how to read. I understand he was in prison and could become very bored, but to have the patience to sit down and write everything on every page in the dictionary is just so incredible. I also envy him for writing everything and picking up on it all. He actually learned it and remembered it. I think that is such an awesome way to learn how to read, such a basic simple way it seems like. Definitely not close to how we learned how to read. I could go on and on about how amazing his story was and how it really touched me. This story is way different compared to Feross’ story on how he learned to program computers. It was organized different and also took place within a prison. They both are from different lifestyles as well. Malcom X’s explained how it changed his life, how reading books made him a different person. He always had a book in his hand, even in the middle of the night with hiding it from the security guards in the prison. He explains how reading really opened up to him and he explained how passionate he was towards it. Feross did the same thing. They both put their mind to something that they wanted to try and ended up learning so much and going so far with that hobby. It really inspires me and will help me write my first paper. Malcolm X showed me different ways I could go into detail, and sparked some past memories of mine on how I learned to do something’s. I think later on when I refer back to this I’m sure I can use it for many ideas to come.
